This wonderful event will take place on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at The Grand, 4101 E. Willow Avenue, Long Beach, California, 90815. The event starts at 9:00 a.m. and the theme is "Serving the Community with a Servant's Heart". The featured speaker will be Rev. Najuma Smith-Pollard, Pastor of St. James AME Church, Los Angeles. Long Beach Alumnae Scholarship

Each year Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Long Beach Alumnae Chapter awards academic scholarships to graduating students in the greater Long Beach area. Applications are based on financial need, grade point average, and school/community involvement. Completed application packets must be received by Sunday, February 28, 2010. Selected recipients will be asked to attend the 11th Annual Prayer Breakfast on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at 9:00 a.m.
